Workout Timer is a mobile application designed to help users plan, schedule, and time their workout sessions throughout the week. The application operates entirely locally on your device, prioritizing your privacy. No personal data is collected, stored on external servers, or shared with third parties.
2. Data Collection and Usage
All app configuration details, workout schedules, exercises list, and history records are processed and stored locally on your device. We do not collect or request any personal identification information or track your physical activity outside of what you manually log in the app.
3. Local Storage
Workout Timer uses a local SQLite database (via Drift) and standard app preferences storage to keep your schedules, history log, theme, and language configurations. This data is only used to manage your workout plans and sessions. It never leaves your device and can be backed up manually by exporting a local file.
4. Permissions
The app requests the following permissions to ensure your scheduled reminders fire reliably and your active workout sessions run smoothly:
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS — Required to display alarm alerts and reminder notifications in the system notification drawer.
- WAKE_LOCK — Required to keep the screen awake during an active workout session so the timer display doesn't turn off before you finish.
- RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED, SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM & USE_EXACT_ALARM — Required to reschedule and fire your workout reminders precisely at the configured time, including after device reboots.
- VIBRATE — Required to vibrate the device when a workout set or rest duration ends.
- USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT — Required to display a full-screen alarm screen when a scheduled workout session time arrives, even if the device is locked.
- REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS — Required to request exclusion from battery saver restrictions, preventing the OS from stopping background timers.
5. Children's Privacy
Workout Timer does not target children under the age of 13 and does not collect any personal data. It is safe for users of all ages.
