Vooca is an Android application designed for learning English vocabulary. This Privacy Policy explains how your data is handled when you use the app.
2. Data Collection
Vooca does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All vocabulary content is bundled directly within the app and does not require a server connection to function. The app does not require user accounts or registration, and it does not track user behavior or usage statistics.
3. Local Storage
The only data stored locally on your device is your game high score (a numeric value) using SharedPreferences, enabling you to track your best score across sessions. This data is kept strictly on your local device, contains no personal identifying information, and is never transmitted off your device.
4. Internet Usage & Offline Operation
Vooca operates 100% offline. The app does not require internet access and does not establish any network connections. The external link to the developer's website (the Company button on the About screen) is opened entirely through the device's external web browser application, not within the app itself.
5. Permissions
Vooca requires no sensitive Android permissions. Specifically:
- No Internet Permission: The app does not request or use android.permission.INTERNET in release mode.
- No Location Permission: The app does not request or use android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION or android.permission.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION.
- All features, including all 3,291 vocabulary items, 80 categories, search, and the word game, function entirely offline without special permissions.
6. Third-Party Services
Vooca does not integrate any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. No user data is shared with or sold to third parties.
7. Children's Privacy
Vooca is a general-purpose educational application suitable for learners of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children or any users.
