Gerak is a mobile application designed to help users balance deep focus with physical wellness. The application operates entirely locally on your device, prioritizing your privacy. No personal data is collected, stored on external servers, or shared with third parties.

All app preferences, including focus/break durations, language options, theme preferences, and sound/vibration toggles, are processed and stored locally on your device. We do not collect or request any personal identification information.
3. Local Storage
Gerak uses Android's SharedPreferences to store your configuration preferences locally on your device. This data is only used to maintain your settings across app sessions and never leaves your device.
4. Permissions
The app requests the following permissions to ensure proper operation of background timers and alarms:
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS — Required to display the running timer and alerts in the system notification drawer.
- FOREGROUND_SERVICE & FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE — Required to keep the focus and break timers running accurately in the background when you exit the active screen.
- VIBRATE — Required to vibrate the device to alert you when a focus or break session ends.
- USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT — Required to show full-screen alerts and reminders when a session completes, even if the device is locked.
5. Children's Privacy
Gerak does not target children under the age of 13, and does not collect any personal data. It is safe for users of all ages.
