Privacy Policy - Geoleads Finder

Last updated: June 4, 2026

1. Overview

Geoleads Finder is a browser extension that helps you collect publicly visible business information from Google Maps search results and export it to Excel or CSV. This Privacy Policy explains what data is processed, how it is stored, and your rights regarding that data. We are committed to full transparency: no data ever leaves your device.

2. Data We Process

The extension processes two types of data, both stored exclusively on your device: (1) Business data extracted from Google Maps — including business name, local name, category, rating, address, phone number, email address, website URL, image URL, and Google Maps URL. This data is saved in your browser's IndexedDB under the database name 'geoleads'. (2) Extension settings and history — including your last-used search inputs (keyword, location, max results, connector word) and the collection job history (job ID, keyword, location, status, timestamp, item counts). These are stored in browser.storage.local. No data of any kind is transmitted to the developer's servers or any third-party server.

3. How Data is Used

Collected business data is used solely to display results in the built-in Dashboard and Viewer, and to generate downloadable Excel (.xlsx) and Google Contacts CSV files. Collection history is used only to display job status in the popup and Dashboard. Last-used inputs are restored when you reopen the popup for convenience. The extension performs no automated background data collection — it only runs when you explicitly click the Start button.

4. Permissions

The extension requests the following browser permissions: 'tabs' — used to detect whether a Google Maps tab is already open (to reuse it instead of opening a new one) and to send messages to the Google Maps content script; 'storage' — used to save collection history and last-used search inputs locally on your device; 'downloads' — used to automatically save the generated Excel file to your Downloads folder after a successful collection. None of these permissions are used to access, read, or transmit any browsing data, personal data, or data from websites other than Google Maps.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

All data is stored locally on your device and persists until you delete it. You can delete individual collection records or all records at any time via the Dashboard using the Delete or Clean All buttons. Uninstalling the extension will remove all extension storage data from your browser. The developer has no access to your stored data and cannot recover it on your behalf.

6. External Services

The extension interacts with the following external URLs: (1) google.com/maps — opened automatically when you start a collection to perform the search; (2) company.awandigitals.com and contribute.awandigitals.com — opened only when you explicitly click the About or Contribute buttons in the popup. No data is transmitted to any of these URLs by the extension. The business data displayed on Google Maps is subject to Google's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

7. No Affiliation with Google

Geoleads Finder is an independent tool developed by Awan Digitals. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with Google LLC or Google Maps in any way. Use of this extension is subject to Google Maps' Terms of Service.

8. No Analytics or Tracking

The extension contains no analytics SDK, advertising network, crash reporting service, or any other form of telemetry. No information about your usage of the extension is collected or reported to the developer or any third party.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the 'Last Updated' date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
