How to Use - Kids Letter Tracing

Last updated: October 9, 2026

1. Main Menu

From the main menu, tap 'START LEARNING' to pick a letter, 'SETTINGS' to adjust marker color, brush thickness, path tolerance, and language, or 'ABOUT' to read how the tracing check works.

2. Choosing a Letter

Tap any letter A-Z on the grid to open the tracing canvas for that letter. Each letter is color-coded to make the grid easier for children to scan.

3. Tracing a Letter

A faint gray outline of the letter is shown as a guide. Use your finger to draw directly on top of the outline, following the same path:

  • Draw along the full outline of the letter, covering as much of the guide as you can in a single clean pass.
  • Tap 'Clear' at any time to erase your strokes and start over.
  • Tap 'Check' once you are done to see how your drawing was scored.

4. Understanding the Result

After tapping 'Check', the app shows a result based on three checks: how much of the letter's guide path was covered, how far any strokes went off the guide line, and whether the drawing was scribbled or overdrawn. On success you can move on to the next letter; otherwise you can clear the canvas and try again.

5. Adjusting Settings

Open 'SETTINGS' from the main menu to personalize the experience:

  • Application Language — choose Auto (follows device language), English, or Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Marker Stroke Color — pick the color used to draw strokes on the canvas.
  • Marker Brush Thickness — make the drawn line thinner or thicker.
  • Path Tolerance — make it easier or harder for strokes to count as 'on track', useful for younger children.
  • Show Subtle Letter Pattern — toggle the faint background guide outline on or off.
